Sony Ericsson’s Aino Phone Hit By Software Glitch Sony Ericsson Aino |
Sony Ericsson's Aino smartphone has been the second one to hit by the software problems. This may put the company with a down in smartphone sales in Britain.
Sony is the world’s fourth largets mobile manufacturer in smartphones. So the problem is significant ahead of the Christmas sales period.
According to a company spokesperson, some Aino users are facing the problem in using the touchscreen.
"Obviously we are working as quickly as possible to solve it (the issue)," Sony Ericsson spokesman Mattias Holm said.
Earlier, Britain's Carphone Warehouse, which is Europe's biggest mobile phone retailer, had stopped the sales of Sony Ericsson's Satio smartphone because of the software glitch.
Analyst Geoff Blaber said, "Aino and Satio are Sony Ericsson's key products for the final quarter."
"These problems couldn't come at a worse time -- just as the market approaches the highest volume weeks of the year. They have days not weeks to fix these issues," he also said.
"At the moment, we don't see any damage or harm done.It is a contained issue affecting only a small number of consumers," he added.
Smartphones with advanced networking functions have caught the customer’s attention like the iPhone and BlackBerry phones. So this consequence may hit Sony’s growth chart in future.
