Hip-hop star Snoop Dogg is taking full credit for reuniting Dr. Dre with his former protege The Game, insisting he made the call to get the pair back in the studio together.
The Game fell out with Dre after his feud with 50 Cent escalated in 2006, and as a result, he was forced to leave the rap icon's Aftermath Entertainment label.
The pair had not worked together since the Dreams hitmaker's 2005 disc The Documentary, but The Game stunned fans earlier this month (Oct09) when he uploaded a photo online showing him in the studio with Snoop and Dre.
In a post on his Twitter.com blog, The Game wrote, "can u say "detox" ??? in the studio wit (sic) dre & snoop. we bout 2 (sic) make a lot of people mad. ride wit us or get ran over (sic)! aftermath or die!"
Snoop claims he was responsible for putting The Game back in touch with his old mentor - and reveals they have put their differences behind them to record a new track for Dre's long-awaited Detox album.
He says, "They needed me to get in contact with Game. I had the number in my phone... Once he (The Game) got there him and Dre hollered (spoke to each other)... They got a great relationship."
