Media mogul Simon Cowell may has achieved the heights of success but now he will be bestowed with the greatest honour. The media tycoon will reportedly be honoured with knighthood by Britain's Queen Elizabeth
Supposedly, former Prime Minister of Britain, Gordon Brown had recommended Cowell’s name as he was impressed with the mogul’s charity work and especially the funds that he raised to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake with his chart-topping single ‘Everybody Hurts’.
The source quoted, "Gordon Brown was very keen for Simon to get proper recognition for his work.”
"He was particularly impressed by the way Simon responded to his suggestion to release the record for Haiti by dropping everything to ensure it was a success. And there's no doubt Simon has brought as great deal of happiness to millions of people with his music and TV shows,” the source added.
The friends close to the media mogul also believes that he deserves to be honoured for his great work.
"It would be an absolutely huge achievement and a wonderful tribute to all he's achieved professionally. Simon deserves the honour because he does so much work behind the scenes for charity and publicly supports good causes," the close friend of Simon Cowell said.
