Shakti Mohan has been crowned as the winner of Zee TV’s Dance Reality show, ‘Dance India Dance’. The winner was announced at the Grand Finale of the show on Friday night.
Shakti who was already famous among the fans of the show belonged to the team of Terrence Lewis team, ‘Terrence Ki Toli’. She won the title with 7, 34, 140 votes.
The other finalists were Punit Pathak, Dharmesh Yelande and Binny Sharma.
Meanwhile, Dharmesh Yelande was on second position and Punit Pathak came third.
Shakti Mohan quoted after she was announced the winner, “The journey has been really awesome. It is all thanks to Terrence sir that I have come so far and got a chance to wear the sunehri takdeer ki topi (Golden hat). He is a mind blowing guru and I will be seeking advice from him regarding whatever I do in future. It just feels great - from being nobody to being somebody.”
The new dancing star who is a professional in contemporary dancing desires to become a versatile dancer therefore has decided to learn hip-hop and kathak.
The 24-year-old received the award from respected Pt. Birju Maharaj in addition to the trophy. She has also been awarded a contract worth Rs.50 lakh and a WagonR car.
