National award winning director T. Hariharan is ready with his masterpiece ‘Pazhassi Raja’. This movie is based on a popular Kerala King who is considered to be the initiator of the freedom struggle against the colonial rule. The movie is supposed to be the biggest historical movie of all time. Originally made in Malayalam, the movie will soon be in different languages.
As per the sources, Hariharan has convinced the Bollywood King, Shahrukh Khan to dub for the Hindi version. He renders his voice for the 45-sec prologue part. Shahrukh Khan was approached by Hariharan during the shooting of his forthcoming movie, ‘My name is Khan’. The Bollywood heartthrob shares a good rapport with the director and so was easily persuaded to do the dubbing. Besides, sources reveal that he did it at without any cost.
As per the sources, Shahrukh has already recorded the prologue. Shahrukh himself hails from a family of freedom fighters and so was extremely delighted in being associated with such a venture. His pleasure was justified by Praveen VC, the executive producer of the movie.
The movie shall be in the theatres by next week. Many big names of Bollywood have joined hands in the marketing strategy of the movie. The movie casts Malayalam super hero, Mammootty in the lead role. Other names associated with the project are Sarath Kumar, M T Vasudevan Nair, Ilayaraja and also the Oscar winner, Resul Pookkuty. The movie will be released in 525 prints in five languages. Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan will be doing the Malayalam and Tamil versions respectively.
