Hollywood star Sean Penn will not be attending the premiere of his latest flick, ‘Fair Game’ at the ongoing 63rd Cannes International Film Festival. The actor has to be present at US Senate committee to give evidence of the damages that occurred after an earthquake stuck Haiti in January.
The representative of the actor informed that Penn is making sure that many of the devastated nation's people gets proper aid.
According to the Penn’s spokesperson, the 49-year old actor has to give evidence to a Senate committee in Washington later this week to detail the destruction he witnessed in the country.
‘Fair Game’ is based on the true story of Valerie Plame, and her memoir. In the movie, Penn portrays the role of Joseph Wilson who is the husband of CIA agent Valerie Plame (Naomi Watts).
