Sarah Jessica Parker Pays Tribute To Alexander McQueen At CFDA Sarah Jessica Parker |
Sarah Jessica Parker paid tribute to late designer Alexander McQueen at the Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards on Monday.
At the ceremony, Parker donned a beautiful bold patterned dress from McQueen's pre-autumn 2010 collection which was held at Tully Hall in the Lincoln Center in New York.
The actress quoted, "I don't think one brief segment of the evening could really illustrate what he (McQueen) meant to the industry or to the people that worked with him or to his family.”
"So it's a very hard thing to try to be brief and substantive in a matter of two minutes. But I think his work speaks for him more than I could," she added.
McQueen was remembered at the event, with the designer’s runway show which included display of his fashion pieces and the CFDA Board of Directors paid him a Special Tribute Award.
The event left some members of the audience in tears. McQueen committed suicide in February this year.
