Salman And Sony Part Ways Salman Khan |
Salman Khan was having issues with Sony Entertainment Channel for quite a few days with regard to the pay package for hosting ‘Dus ka Dum’-3. As a result of the disagreements, Salman has moved out of the channel and will now be seen hosting ‘Bigg Boss’ season 4.
However, the channel says that there is no bad blood between them. Ajit Thakur, the EVP and business head of Sony says, “Salman moved on to Bigg Boss 4 amicably. There was no bad blood between the channel and him. Sony, as a team, loves him and wishes him luck with Bigg Boss.”
Still optimistic of Salman’s returning to the show, Ajit adds, “It will definitely keep its doors open for the actor to return to his pet show, 10 Ka Dum.”
It was reported that, Salman had asked an increase in his remuneration for hosting the show and since Sony declined his proposal, he was upset over it. Moreover, he also felt that Sony shifted their focus to ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ from ‘DKD’ and not much attention was given to his show.
Meanwhile, the channel reveals, “Salman had approached us to allow him to move on to another show. He just wanted a change of atmosphere. Since the channel has always accepted his requests, it relented this time too. He wanted the move to be very peaceful and didn’t want anyone to lose out in the bargain.”
The star will be seen hosting ‘Bigg Boss’ season 4 on Colors and will pose a tough competition for his past channel, Sony as ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘KBC’ will be aired at the same time.
