Boyzone singer Ronan Keating’s marriage is on the rocks but the singer is ready to do whatever possible to save his marriage of 12- years with Yvonne Connolly. Lately, it was reported that the split is amicable but according to latest reports Connolly decided to separate her ways with the singer after she discovered a secret mobile phone containing evocative texts from the dancer her husband is said to have had a fling with.
Recently, the couple announced their split and called for privacy in these testing times. The reason behind the breakup of one of the strongest couple in Irish show business is said to be Keating’s fling with 25-year-old blonde Francine Cornell on his tour last year
A source said, "Yvonne confronted Ronan with the phone - there was nothing he could say. She ordered him to leave the family home and told him the marriage was over.”
"She'd heard whispers and rumours about him cheating with Francine during the tour. Their dancing on stage was very raunchy, but she'd got used to that over the years and trusted him," the source added.
But, the star wants to save his marriage with Connolly and has convinced her to meet him where he will do everything in his power to win her back.
Meanwhile, if the pop star failed to convince his wife than he has to get ready for the biggest divorce payout in Irish showbiz history.
A close friend of Yvonne Connolly quoted, “Yvonne has agreed to meet Ronan when he gets back so they can sit down and talk through everything that has happened. Ronan feels that everything snowballed so quickly. There were a lot of emotions involved and the couple also had to deal with their personal life being splashed across the papers."
"Now that the storm has somewhat settled, it's hard to see how they can ever go back from this, but Ronan keeps saying their marriage is worth fighting for. He will do whatever it takes to get her back," the friend added.
The close friends of Keating informed that the couple made a deal from the start of their relationship that there will be no excuse of infidelity.
"It was common knowledge. Everyone in the band knew that was one thing that was non-negotiable between Ronan and Yvonne. If he ever strayed on tour, it would be over; there would be no going back. He was travelling all over the world, with girls throwing themselves at him; they both knew where they stood."
"Yvonne is a very strong woman who doesn't suffer fools gladly; it will take a lot for her to forgive and forget if Ronan has strayed."
