The new sensational upcoming film of Ranbir Kapoor ‘Rajneeti’ directed by Prkash Jha is something that is closely connects to the people as it has the flavor of politics of past and present era that is existent and practiced till date in every field of India.

 

Trying to reflect the struggle of people to win each situation in a political way, Jha sighted, “ The film which draws characters from the epic, but is set in today's political era and each character is given their own stories, own struggles to deal with. A political drama that is played out in the landscape of our country and the backdrop of an election, ‘Raajneeti’ is primarily a huge canvas drama which is inspired in terms of characters from the Mahabharat. Wants the audience to go home and think about victory and its related issues ".

 

Not trying to be judgemental on people’s opinion, Jha justifying his stance stated, "I am not being judgemental. I dont think I know everything about democracy. I don't think I know everything about governance.”

 

People should not be confused trying to perceive it as a message to the society but consider it as a story that connects to people’s sentiments, the director added, “Having worked on the script for five years and one year in pre-production I am not interested in giving a message. I am trying to tell a story. The way struggle of power overtakes everything".

 

It is an inspiration drawn but not as impostion of characters from past and present era, Ja added, "None of my characters are drawn from any living or past politician of the country, they are characters from the Mahabharat.”
