Rajit Kapur To Star In Buddhadev Dasgupta`s ‘Rahasyamoy’ Rajit Kapoor |
After his award winning performance in Buddhadev Dasgupta`s “Character”, actor Rajit Kapur is all set to display his acting skills once again in yet another movie of Dasgupta.
The film, the shooting for which is scheduled to start in September, will have Kapur essaying the role of a middle-aged man who caught up in his daily routine, shares his ideas and views with a young pen-friend. But, the man refuses to meet his pen-friend despite her persistent request. The story then flits between reality and fantasy.
Dasgupta told the reporters that Rajit Kapur perfectly suits the character of a lonely, middle-aged, office-goer who is tired and suffocated in his ordinary world, but have the trouble to let out his bottled up feelings.
In his last film too, the director dealt with interplay of the real and the fantasy. As for the young girl`s role in the film `Rahasyamoy`, Dasgupta is searching for a fresh young face.
The creative director, who proceeds to self-imposed exile each time in order to write a script, is ready with `Rahasyamoy` that is loosely based on a novel he had written and developed 10 years ago from a story published in the Ananda Bazar Patrika.
