The multi starrer movie, ‘Ravaan’ is undergoing many speculations by experts in the industry. The latest buzz is that, it won’t be so easy to get a good ROI on its 100 crore plus investment.

It might be quite difficult for the film makers to recover their 100 crore plus investment (excluding promotion and printing) from the market. Although, the movie is in Hindi and Tamil (also dubbed in a Telegu version) but feedback from the experts tells a different story.

Komal Nahta, trade analyst tells “attributes the slow start to the promos that didn’t convey much. Today, the audience wants to know what the movie is about before they buy a ticket. Besides, the film has turned the Ramayana around in the end and Indians don’t like mythology being tampered with.”

Taran Adarsh, another trade analyst says “the opening isn’t good” but says it’s too early to write it off. A clearer picture will emerge after the initial curiosity wears off.”

Amod Mehta, a veteran from industry say “The Friday morning show had barely 20 per cent occupancy. One can’t imagine this from the director of Roja, Bombay, Yuva and Guru.”

Some small aspects from the movie tell other weird things like, the story of the movie is supposedly set in MP, but cops are seen wearing UP badges. In spite the movie being set in MP, it resembles a typical Maharashtrian touch.
