The gorgeously beautiful ladies Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut stole the light at the ceremony of the 56th National Film Awards for 2008 where the ‘Fashion’ team was felicitated with the India’s top honor by the President Pratibha Patil on Friday at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi.
Priyanka Chopra was honored with the Best Actress award while Kangana Ranaut received the Best Supporting Actress award for the ‘Fashion’ flim.
In observance to this win President Patil with an encouraging words stated, “Cinema needs to be continuously nurtured, as a part of our efforts to not only excel in filmmaking, but also to use it as a medium to give expression to the importance of a humane approach in life.”
Quite ecstatically Priyanka added, “ I feel elated. I really don't know what I feel? I can't put word to it. It's huge- you feel like such a small part of something so massive. I was sitting at the Vigyan Bhavan and watching all these people receive the awards from the President Pratibha Patil . She was so gracious and it just felt really humbling and I do feel special.”
Well what could be the greatest gift for Kangana on her birthday eve? It was a great moment for Kangana to receive the Best Supporting Actress award from the President as her birthday coincidentally was followed on the same day March 19.
