Pookutty, who brought Oscars to India is planning for his directorial debut soon, he wishes to star cast Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

 

Sound designer, Pookutty was busy since quite a long time in writing a script on father-son relationship. The Oscar award winner says that his script is an emotional one, it shows the minute aspects of a father-son relationship.

 

Resul confirms the news and says, “It’s something that I’ve been toying with for a long time. But it’s too early to talk about it. It is indeed a very emotional father-son subject. While I was writing the script, I was immediately reminded of Amitabh Bachchan.”

 

Presently he is working on a very big project along with Hollywood filmmaker John Madden. It is his second international project and is called  ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’.

 

Speaking about his project, he says, “I’ve been in love with Madden’s film ‘Shakespeare in Love’ and now I’m getting to work with him. The film has actors like Dame Judi Dench, Julie Christie, Tom Wilkinson and Peter O’Toole.”

He continues, “Fox Searchlight that had produced ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ called for me for the project and I felt honored. I’ll be doing live sound mixing of the film.”
