Orlando Bloom Roped In For ‘The Three Musketeers’ Orlando Bloom |
British actor Orlando Bloom is set to pick the sword once again for Paul W. S. Anderson’s forthcoming flick, ‘The Three Musketeers’. But, this time there is a change of pace for Bloom as he has put behind the image of ‘a man with golden heart’ and is ready to be a bad boy.
Orlando Bloom, 33 will portray the role of Duke of Buckingham, the arch-nemesis to the Musketeers.
‘The Three Musketeers’ which will be directed by Paul W.S. Anderson is based on a novel written by Alexandre Dumas. It is about the adventures of a young man named d’Artagnan after he leaves home to become a guard of the musketeers. D'Artagnan is not one of the musketeers of the title; those are his friends Athos, Porthos, and Aramis, inseparable friends who live by the motto ‘all for one, one for all’.
The 3-D action adventure movie is scheduled to hit floors later this summer and is expected to be released on the silver screen next year.
The other star cast of Anderson’s high budget flick includes: Christoph Waltz, Matthew Macfadyen, Ray Stevenson, Mads Mikkelsen, Logan Lerman, Luke Evans, and Juno Temple.
