Nokia C6, C3 And E5 Launched Nokia C6, C3 and E5 |
Nokia Corp., the world’s largest handset maker, has launched three new mobile phones with strong messaging and social-networking features at an affordable price.
The move is aimed at tapping the mobile market that is flooded with the trend of good social-networking capabilities like Facebook and Twitter.
Previously, Microsoft had also launched its KIN branded social-networking phones to woo the crazy customers.
The new C3 device is built on the Series 40 platform and priced at around EUR90 (Rs 5,500) excluding the taxes. It sports a full QWERTY keyboard and has access to social-networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.
Apart from that, the C3 offers the services like Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat. The handset is available in three colour shades like golden white, slate grey and hot pink.
As per company information, the C3 handset is likely to hit the market in the second quarter this year.
The Nokia C6 smart phone is built on the Symbian OS and features facilities such as 3.2-inch touch screen, a 5MP camera, and a suite of email and social-networking capabilities. It is priced at around EUR220 without taxes.
This Nokia C6 is also expected in the second quarter this year.
The third in the series, the Nokia E5 is a Symbian based phone having hordes of features like access to productivity applications from Nokia's online Ovi Store, networking and entertainment capabilities etc. It is priced at around EUR180 excluding taxes.
According to analysts, these three Nokia sets have been priced at affordable range to compete with the likes of RIM’s Blackberry. However, the cell maker has been criticized for using the Symbian, which is slower than the Android OS.
