Nintendo 3DS: 4 Lakh Units Sells Out In Japan  Nintendo 3DS |
Nintendo 3DS gaming console has successfully reached 4 lakh units sales in the Japanese markets. The Nintendo 3DS was released for sale around previous weekend. Soon by Saturday, about 4 lakh units were sold out in just 24 hours.
According to sources, several retailers ran out of stock by Saturday afternoon.
While this is the case in Japan, the device is set to be sold in the UK on March 25. The US is awaiting the launch of the device on March 27. In US, the Nintendo 3DS would be priced at $249.99.
Meanwhile, the pre-bookings for the device have already been started. And in Japan alone it is estimated that about 1.5 million units would be sold by the end of March.
The Nintendo 3DS is a 3D-enabled portable gaming console developed by Nintendo. Though it is a 3D gaming device, it does not require any special glasses to experience the 3D effect while playing. For this purpose, the device is equipped with autostereoscopy technology.
