Nicolas Cage Still Young At Heart Nicolas Cage |
Hollywood mega star Nicolas Cage who started his career at the age of 15 has revealed that he still considers himself a child actor.
The 46-years old actor was first seen in 1980 release ‘Brubaker’ as an extra. Later, the actor starred in many blockbuster hits like, ‘Ghost Rider’ and Honeymoon in Vegas’. The actor received his first Academy Award for his outstanding performance in 1995 release, ‘Leaving Las Vegas’.
Nicolas Cage quoted, "I have been doing this since I was 15 and that makes me a child actor of sorts.”
"And it was very hard to live my life and to be an actor at the same time. But now I have a family, and my kids and I know how to make the shorthand, to go home and have my life," he added.
The ‘Con Air’ star insisted that he always prefer to do different roles and finds it difficult to fulfil everyone's expectations.
"I feel eclectic, I like making different kinds of movies and I never wanted to have a steady diet of one type. Sometimes, that makes people angry. Sometimes, people that wear the art beret are angry about the popular movies and the people that wear the cowboy hat are angry about the art movies," he said.
"So, that's how it goes. You can't make everybody happy and you can't really care what people think either way. I try to do whatever I find interesting for me," he concluded.
