Mozart’ Two New Compositions Unearthed Mozart |
Two new compositions by a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart have been uncovered in Salzburg, Austria. The previously unknown pieces were found among the collection at the International Mozarteum Foundation.
"The Department of Research at the International Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg has identified two works, which have long been in the possession of the foundation, as compositions of the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart," officials of the foundation said in a statement.
The rare finds will be presented to the media for the first time Aug 2 when they will be performed by classical musician Florian Birsak at the Mozart family's old home in Salzburg.
