Motorola has announced a new Android handset, the Flipout that resembles Microsoft's Kin smartphone. The handset appears in a square form factor and is all set to be shipped by the Orange network from July.
The Flipout has a 2.8-inch touchscreen QVGA display with a full size 5-line QWERTY keyboard. The other features include a 3MP camera with flash, a FM radio, 512MB onboard storage, Bluetooth, WiFi and GPS. The set runs Android OS 2.1 and boasts of Motoblur user interface.
The Motorola handset comes with a 3.5mm headphone socket. It seems to be a catch of the younger generation like the Kin due to its wide range of features. However, the other details like the pricing are still to be uncovered.
