Miley Cyrus’ ‘Who Owns My Heart’ Slammed By Parents Television Council Miley Cyrus |
It seems the fans of Hannah Montana star are not ready to accept that the teen has grown up as Miley Cyrus has found herself in the middle of a controversy for her latest raunchy video, ‘Who Owns My Heart’.
The Parents Television Council has blasted the singer for her provocative video and has branded it as ‘unfortunate’. The video that released on Friday has attracted many eyeballs and people are not able to imagine Cyrus in a sexually-charged video. However the 17-year old beauty is desperate to leave her Disney girl image behind and wants to venture into real world on her terms.
"It's just about freeing yourself from anything you think is holding you back," she was recently quoted as saying about the track.
She added: "And I think that's really important, especially for girls, because so many people are told, 'No, you can't do something,' or, 'You need to be this because Mom and Dad say that, teachers say this.'"
But the ideas of the teen sensation are not taken in good spirits by the council as it claims, "It is unfortunate that she would participate in such a sexualised video like this one,” Tim Winter of the Parents Television Council said.
He further added, "It sends messages to her fanbase that are diametrically opposed to everything she has done up to this point. Miley built her fame and fortune entirely on the backs of young girls, and it saddens us that she seems so eager to distance herself from that fanbase so rapidly."
Well, this is not the first time that former Disney star has attracted controversy for her sensuous video as last year she was slammed by critics for her hot Can't Be Tamed video.
