Microsoft is inviting the technophiles on April 12 that will mark the launch of two of its new Windows phones, Pure and Turtle.
According to confirmed sources, the new handsets won’t be smartphones, but only target the mainstream consumers.
It was revealed in September that the company was planning for the launch of a set of two phones named the Pure and the Turtle. The folks had also got the screenshots of these Microsoft devices.
This is the first time that the company is venturing into the mobile segment with its two new mobile phones.
The new Windows phones, the Pure and the Turtle will be slider phones with touchscreen displays. These sets will come optimized to suit the social networking features and Zune music service.
There might also be something more in the store as the next iPhone event opens on April 8. Microsoft is likely to announce the iPhone 4.0 OS on the same day.
