The director of mega-hit flick  'Shutter Island', Martin Scorsese, if not for this year’s Oscar chart but definitely he has won the top position as the Best Living Director in a new US magazine poll. 

In the poll race for the Best Living Director position Martin seems to have surpassed even the most favorite ones like Joel and Ethan Coen, Steven Soderbergh, Paul Thomas Anderson, Woody Allen, Quentin Tarantino, David Lynch and Wong Kar-Wai to climb to the top slot position.

 

To outmost shock, the Oscar winner director Kathryn Bigelow is nowhere among the top fifty list. Is it a fake poll? Understandably, people do question about it.

 

Definitely the Oscar winner of ‘The Departed,’ Scorsese's win is not fake as he is someone who is known for his quality and potentiality in the filmdom. He has earned much fame as a film-maker who had delivered innumerous remarkable flicks in his film career.

 

Quite of realistic taste, the director Martin Scorsese feels that the quality of the film should reflect more and should have the capability to stand the test of time, to which he does not want to compromise with covetous award.
