What is the first thought that comes to your mind when someone says that Mariah Carey could be in the judging panel of America’s most popular reality show ‘American Idol’. Well keep your thoughts to yourself as nothing is confirmed yet.
Carey’s hubby Nick Cannon got quite loose- lipped with the media and revealed that his wife is interested to be the part of the idol judge panel and desires to be next Simon Cowell.
Cannon is the host of the talent show ‘America`s Got Talent’. The star revealed that Mariah always talks about the show and hopes that she gets the ‘idol’ job.
"You know what? She talks about it. She says, `I would love to do that`. She is one of the greatest singers of our time and she would be great. I don`t know if she has enough time, though, but if they could work with her schedule, I know she would love to do `Idol`," Cannon said.
Meanwhile, Cannon, 29 also agreed that ‘American Idol’ is going through tough times after Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres departed from the show but believes that the upcoming 10th season of the show will be a huge hit like its previous seasons.
"Simon Cowell was the anchor of the show. And when he stepped out, it`s like, now what? But as long as Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson stick around, I`m watching," said Cannon.
