Actor Manoj Bajpai has decided not to work with director Ram Gopal Varma again. Manoj rose to fame with his role in 1998’s movie ’Satya’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma.
Bajpai’s decision to part with Varma makes it evident that the rift between the mentor and the actor has widened. Bajpai said,"We have mutually decided never to work again. There is not bitterness and it is not that we are not on speaking terms. But mentally and emotionally there is no desire left in me to reunite with Ramu again.”
Manoj was honoured with the National award for the best supporting actor for his role as Bhiku Mhatre and later also had worked for Ramu in ‘Road’.
Manoj denied the recent buzz that claimed his reunion with Varma saying, “I don`t see it happening again. At least not in the near future.”
Bajpai started his acting career with tale series ‘Swaabhimaan’.He also had played several small roles in films like `Droh Kaal` and `Bandit Queen` before his big break in RGV`s ‘Satya’.
The actor earned immense popularity with his role of Bhiku Mhatre .Several of his films received critical appreciation which include ‘Zubaida’, ‘Shool’, ‘Pinjar’ and Raykesh Omprakash Mehra`s ‘Aks’.
Manoj’s next project to hit screens Prakash Jha`s multi-starrer political drama ‘Rajneeti’. Bajpai said, "Politics is not my cup of tea. ”Speaking about his working experience with Jha, the actor said, "We both come from the same place in Bihar so we had great tuning. Prakash is a great director and knows how to get the best from his artistes."
