In a special screening of the movie ‘Peepli Live’ at the PM’s residence, Dr. Manmohan Singh and BJP leader L.K Advani watched it. Even actor Aamir and other team members of the movie were present at the time.

 

So, finally the last few people who also want to see one of the simplest of Indian movies presented in a way that entertains everyone were PM Manmohan Singh and Advani. The movie talks about the cases of farmer suicides in India presented in a humorous manner, the lead actor being theatre artist Omkar Das Manikpuri.

 

PM, his wife Gurusharan Singh, L.K Advani, family members and some close friends watched the special screening at Manmohan’s official residence 7 race course road in the national capital on Sunday evening.

 

Movie director Anusha Rizvi, distributor Ronnie Screwala, producer- actor Aamir Khan and actors Raghuvir Yadav and Omkar Das Manikpuri were also present at that time.

 

Although, Aamir got appreciations from the political leaders, but BJP leader L’K Advani shared some other views.

 

He says that the movie is really good, but the cases of farmer’s suicide in India shouldn’t have been depicted in a humorous way. He hailed the moviemakers about the subject matter, but was not satisfied from the funny approach to it.
