Yasmin Ahmed, the Malaysian filmmaker has done movies on controversial issues like inter-racial relations, is no more.
She was laid to rest on Sunday after she died close to midnight following a stroke and bleeding in the brain. Ahmed, 51, suffered a stroke while attending a meeting on Saturday.
She had won many awards for her films and for her advertisement campaigns.
In TV commercials, she was known for her Malaysia theme and campaigns for Petronas, the oil and gas conglomerate.
Her films include "Gubra" (2006), "Mukhsin" (2007), "Muallaf" (2008) and "Talentime" (2009).
