British singer Lily Allen has confirmed the reports that she is retiring from the music world. The singer had launched a campaign against illegal online file sharing in the U.K and urged the music lovers to buy the original music albums.
‘The Fear’ singer said to her fans that she is fighting the illegal file sharing campaign to save British music industry and doesnot gain anything financially from it. The singer also claimed that she is leaving her music career.
Lily Allen said, "Just so you know, I have not renegotiated my record contract and have no plans to make another record.”
The singer added, "I do however remain a fan of new music, so this is not some selfish crusade. The days of me making money from recording music has been and gone as far as I'm concerned, so I don't (at this point) stand to profit from legislation, except future purchases of previously recorded material which won't be much."
