Keira Knightley Struggles With Fame Keira Knightley |
Hollywood starlet Keira Knightley admits that she wears scruffy clothes and hats in order to avoid public attention. The actress who is well known for starring in movies like Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl reveals that she feels uncomfortable while talking to her fans.
Knightley, 25 also admitted that she has a shy nature and finds it difficult to handle fame. The beauty is mostly seen absent from high showbiz parties as she wants to maintain low profile.
"I think it (fame) broke something in me. I was told very early on that if I didn`t go out to openings and parties and events I would be left alone. I didn`t, and they still didn`t leave me alone," said Knightley.
"I knew it was part of the deal in the life I had signed up to, but the fear of it has never left me. I`m still not good at being recognised. I wear scruffy clothes and hats and keep my head well down," she added.
The actress will soon be seen in David Cronenberg’s upcoming British historical biopic A Dangerous Method. The movie which is set in the eve of World War I is based on the turbulent relationships between fledgling psychiatrist Carl Jung, his mentor Sigmund Freud, and Sabina Spielrein, the troubled but beautiful young woman who comes between them.
