Naughty angel Katy Perry couldn’t stop herself from falling in love with Russell Brand after reading a touching message that he wrote for her on a copy of his book.
The couple first met at the MTV Video Music Awards last year where they were both presenters and immediately felt the spark.
The ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hit maker asked for a personalised edition of his memoir ‘My Booky Wook’ after noticing it in the back of his car.
"Russell had a copy of his book in the car and I was intrigued. I asked him to sign it, and when I got home I read what he wrote 'You are a mermaid, and I am drowning'," said Perry.
The 25-year old singer was left cupid stuck by the funny man’s note and invited him to join her on vacation in Phuket, Thailand.
The couple became engaged in December 2009 and is planning to wed later this year.
