British actor Russell Brand says he wants to remain loyal to his singer wife Katy Perry. The actor who married Perry in October revealed that his priorities after marriage has changed and now wishes to be the best husband.
Brand who was once known as a womanizer and also faced heroin addiction, alcoholism and sex addiction reveals that he is ready to be an honest husband to the California Gurls hitmaker.
"Whilst at work I will fulfil those commitments, but in my marital life. I will prioritise the things required for that - loyalty and honesty and love," Brand was quoted as saying.
"I think I can still make smart-aleck quips at an award ceremony, or play a dodgy character in a film when required and let that not affect my marriage. Otherwise Ray Winstone`s wife must live in terror," Brand added.
The 35-year old actor first met American singer/songwriter Katy Perry in summer 2008 when Perry filmed a cameo for Brand's film Get Him to the Greek. Brand and Perry began dating after meeting again in September 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards.
Brand revealed that when he met the singer in 2009 he was ready to venture into a serious relationship and to welcome love in his life.
"She`s my mate, and I get on well with her. She doesn`t take any nonsense, she`s very loving and sweet and good fun, and we sort of get on! To be honest, I think I was getting to a point in my life where I was ready to change," he added.
