Comparitively speaking ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ is a different and of a likeable taste for all genre. It is a story that depicts about an introvert guy of a mediocrity humdrum who one day accidently receives a call from his own name, after which his monotonous life takes into an exciting peak.

Basically ‘KCK’ is a romantic thriller which features Farhan Akhtar ( Karthik ) and Deepika Padukone ( Shonali) in the lead roles. Here Farhan plays the role of an introvert guy who lacks confidence in dealing with day to life challenges and feels trapped in his just average job that cedes lesser than average results. Deepika ignites into Karthik’s life when he gets employed in a company where she meets her as his colleague.

 

Here in this story, Karthik’s boss treats him in a negative attitude and everyday he had to confront with his insults. On the other hand his colleague Shonali portrays an independent, classy and confident woman who remains unaware about his secret love for her. Mostly she does not count of his existence in the office.

 

Later Karthik feels that he is a looser unable to picture himself well what he is and figures that this way his life can’t get any better. Luckily one day he gets a call from an unusual person who happens to be named as Karthik. After their peak up with familiar conversation Karthik finds it strange that the online stranger can exactly locate his psyche and has the ability to change him if he follows him. The best part of the film is that when the stranger changes the looser into a winner and enables him to prove himself in a better angle. Eventually those people who had taken him for granted, actually turns to value his existence.

 

Gradually this stranger online becomes his guide of his life with whom he remains in constant touch and consults with every problem that erupts. This friend and mentor of Karthik starts to keep a close string of his life guiding him to become a successful man and to win his secret love Shonali eventually enabling him to bring colors in his otherwise monotonous and failure life.

 

There are also other interesting faces that are highlighted in the film like Ram Kapoor, Vivan Bhatena, Vipin Sharma, Yateen Karyekar and Shifaali Shah.

 

At the end one can say that it is a beautiful story, presented in a lively manner by the director Vijay Lalwani who’s also penned the entire script of the ‘KCK’. Proves worth your wallet.
