Karan Johar To Work On Father's Dream Movie ‘Agneepath’ Karan Johar |
Like a dutiful son, Karan Johar is all set to do the remake of his film ‘Agneepath’.
Two decades ago, when ‘Agneepath’ appeared on silver screen it failed to make its mark besides being a multi starrer movie. But Karan’s father still considers it to be one of his finest films.
Since the film failed to get its due, Karan added, "A lot of people ask me why I am keen to remake 'Agneepath'. Let me explain. The film didn't work at the box-office when it opened almost two decades ago and my father, who was very vocal that 'Agneepath' was one of his finest films, always felt that the film never got its due. He would often prod me to remake 'Agneepath' someday, so here I am, fulfilling my father's wishes.”
Regarding Karan’s pace of work it always had longer gap of more than three years but this time he seems to speed up his pace, currently he is concentrating on two projects. Some of his renowned films include ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hain’ [1998], ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ [2001], ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ [2006] and ‘My Name Is Khan' [2010].
