Kajol, Rani Do Not Influence Deepika Padukone Deepika Padukone |
The past two blind role performances by versatile actresses Kajol and Rani have not influenced Deepika Padukone’s performance in ‘Lafangey Parindey’, she says that she didn’t even see their movies again, so that it doesn’t influence her acting.
Rani acted in ‘Black’ (2005) as a blind, deaf and dumb girl and then it was Kajol who acted in ‘Fanaa (2006) as a blind girl. Now, it’s the turn of Deepika Padukone to show some magic and take the lead ahead, she will be seen as a blind girl, who is a passionate dancer and dances on roller skates.
Deepika says that she didn’t let the other actresses influence her acting and says, “I have seen Rani in Black and Kajol in Fanaa, but I didn't see them before my own performance because I didn't want to be influence by anyone else's performance. I wanted my own take on what suits my character.”
Deepika says that she met a lot of blind people and observed their life style and the way they act, then she worked on her role to get that real touch.
The movie shows Deepika as ‘Pinky Palkar’ and Neil Nitin Mukesh as ‘Nandu’. Pinky is an arduous roller skates dancer and she desires to become something different in life. While Nandu is a boxer and leads a gang of bikers in Mumbai. The story revolves around them, their struggle, love and hopes.
The movie will release on August 20 from the Yash Raj Banner and it is directed by Pradeep Sarkar.
