British actor, Jude Law who portrayed the title role in Shakespeare's ‘Hamlet’ has been nominated in the category of the best leading actor in The Antoinette Perry Awards also known as Tony Awards which is given for excellence in theatre.
In May 2009, Law returned to the London stage to star in Shakespeare's Hamlet at the Donmar Warehouse West End season at Wyndham's Theatre.
Other than Law, Denzel Washington, Alfred Molina, Liev Schreiber and Christopher Walken has been nominated in the same category.
Meanwhile, Catherine Zeta-Jones has landed nominations in the ‘best leading actress in a musical category’ for her outstanding performance in ‘A Little Night Music’.
