Actor Jon Cryer has heaped praise on sitcom co-star Charlie Sheen for handling his latest marriage crisis with grace and professionalism.
Sheen returned to the set of Two & A Half Men on Monday (04Jan10) - his first work day since his Christmas Day (25Dec09) fight with wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen, Colorado.
The altercation landed the actor in jail and now he and his wife are estranged.
But Cryer insists Sheen isn't letting his personal problems interfere with his professional life.
The Pretty In Pink star says, "He's been incredibly professional, always, but especially in times of personal crisis."
And Cryer tells a popular site, "He is solid as a rock."
But the actor admits it's clear his co-star is troubled about something: "He was in his usual good humour on read-through day but obviously with the weight of something hanging on him a bit."
Cryer insists he's standing by his pal as he battles his marriage crisis and an apparent alcohol relapse, which reportedly sparked his Christmas Day row with Mueller: "He's been a good friend to me... To me, he's been a great, loyal friend and a lovely guy to work with.
"I know Charlie was immensely proud of his years of sobriety... I know it was very important to him and I'm sure that's one of the saddest aspects for him."
