Jay-Z Rejects Imminent Collaboration With Rocker Noel Gallagher Jay-Z |
Hip-hop superstar Jay-Z has dismissed rumours of an imminent collaboration with former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher - insisting comments he made about a possible project were misconstrued.
Several publications suggested the rapper has been plotting a song with the guitarist after Gallagher walked away from the Live Forever hitmakers in August (09).
But Jay-Z is adamant remarks he made about a possible collaboration were taken out of context.
He says, "It was an offhand comment, someone asked me if I would work with him. I don't have any problem, so I said anything is possible. It's not like we had any talks of doing it, it's like someone asked me would you work with him, I said 'Yeah, I don't have any problem with it'."
The pair hit headlines last year (08) when Gallagher blasted the organisers of the U.K.'s Glastonbury festival for booking Jay-Z to play the traditionally rock n' roll festival.
