It’s the Turn Of Draupadi After Raajneeti Prakash Jha |
Prakash Jha is not even over the huge success of the super hit movie, ‘Raajneeti’, when he decided to make another epic , Draupadi, purely inspired by Mahabharata.
Prakash Jha’s confidence is soaring high now-a-days, as he has decided to adapt the Draupadi section of the greatest Indian epic, Mahabharata.
His long cherished dream is about to find a passage now and he dreams to cast the eternal beauty, Madhuri Dixit in Draupadi’s role.
He couldn’t arrive at a judgment before due to a low budget and fear of plunging into the deep Indian epic. The film is set to be made now in English with Madhuri and an international cast and crew.
He adds, “Draupadi is the ultimate tribute to womanhood. I’ve wanted to make it for years. Yes, Madhuri was my choice earlier. But now I’m going to make it as an international film with an international cast on a budget that would make the film a grand epic.”
Jha further adds, “The actors have to be exotic in their features since my Draupadi would be set in the mountains. If you’ve seen Peter Brooks’s celebrated stage adaptation of the Mahabharata it starred Mallika Sarabhai who does have exquisite features.”
