UK based social networking handset maker INQ has launched two new handsets, INQ Chat and INQ Mini mobiles for Indian customers. This an attempt from the handset maker to foray into the segment which has a significant population that go for social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace.
INQ is famous for its Facebook phone and with growing Facebook users in the country, the phone is expected to create its own niche here. The company is also planning for the launch of some low-end phones in the coming days.
INQ has tied up with Aircel to popularise its handsets. Accordingly, it has also roped in MS Dhoni as its spokesperson. The company has also customised their offerings for India with certain widgets like Cricinfo widget and Orkut.
INQ Chat and INQ Mini mobiles boast of Twitter and other social network capabilities. Apart from that, both the handsets are integrated with multimedia features along with support for WMP and iTunes synchronization.
The INQ Chat features a QWERTY keyboard to help the users chat away with ease. The INQ Mini is a normal device with a standard keypad.
Both the handsets come with access to instant messaging clients, Skype support and an Internet browser. However, the pricing of both the sets is still to be announced.
