Indian American actor Kal Penn has been robbed on the gunpoint in Washington in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. It has been reported that the actor was approached by the first suspect at 1.20 a.m. Tuesday with a gun and ordered him to get down on the ground before taking his wallet and cell phone. A second suspect then joined him.
Penn recently has resigned from the post of an associate-director in the White House Office of Public Engagement to make his comeback to the acting world.
The actor is best known for his roles in the ‘Harold & Kumar’ flicks and television shows like: ‘House’. Jennifer Goodwin, the agent of Penn has confirmed the reports.
Penn was appointed in White House on April 2009. But, last month the actor announced that he is resigning from the post to act in the third sequel of ‘Harold & Kumar’ movie.
"A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas" is scheduled to hit theatres in November.
