Veteran actor Ian McKellen, popularly known for portraying the role of ‘Gandalf’ in the ‘Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy seems not to be happy with bosses of ‘The Hobbit’.

The star may reportedly walk out of the film if the makers don't announce the start date or new director soon.

McKellen quoted, "Well I'm not under contract and my time is running out. I'm enjoying working in the theatre and frankly, I would like to race after doing 'Waiting For Godot', get on with doing another play. But we'll have to see.”

The 71-year-old also added that he is not going to wait for the film as he will love to concentrate on other ventures.

"I don't give the producers the impression that I'm sitting waiting," he said.

‘The Hobbit’ is facing difficulties after director Guillermo del Toro left the project. Lately, it was rumored that Peter Jackson of ‘Lord of the Rings’ fame will direct the flick but nothing has been confirmed yet.
