HTC Delays Launch Of Desire HD, Desire Z HTC Desire Z |
HTC has delayed the launch of its two much hyped smartphones such as the Desire HD and Desire Z.
Earlier, the smartphones were announced for October, but the release was delayed on account of a test by Google. The sets would be tested further, Google said.
Google’s engineers check the Android phones for hardware compliance and software glitches before the Android sets are launched.
Vodafone has also announced to launch the Desire HD and the Desire Z in the UK market.
“Apparently, both units have failed last minute Google TA (Type Approval) testing which is exactly what was said about the original Desire days before release,” said a British retailer.
The devices will come with features like HD video recording, faster processors and big touchscreens. Apart from that, the new HTC Sense UI will be offered for these sets.
The HTC Desire HD sports 4.3 inches S-LCD capacitive touchscreen, whereas the Desire Z has a 3.7 inches screen. The former has a 8MP camera as compared to a 5MP camera in the Desire Z set.
