Hrithik Takes Over Big B’s Role In ‘Agneepath’ Remake Hrithik Roshan

Things are getting finalized for the much awaited remake of the award winning movie, ‘Agneepath’. Hrithik Roshan will play the lead role in the movie and he will be seen as an international gangster.

Karan Johar has taken an effort to remake ‘Agneepath’ and is deciding upon the outer frame of the movie. Karan Malhotra is going to direct the movie and Hrithik will play the lead role. Amitabh Bachchan has also won a national award for his performance as ‘Dina Nath Chauhan’ in the movie.

Apparently, there were rumors that Anhishek Bachchan will take over his dad’s role in the movie and Jaya Bachchan will play the role of his mother.

However a source adds, “Abhishek was not even offered the role in the remake. Karan’s ‘Agneepath’  remake will be written and directed by debutant Karan Malhotra and Hrithik character will be influenced by Al Pacino in ‘Scarface’ the inspiration behind ‘Agneepath’.

The reason for not choosing Abhishek can be his recent failure ‘Raavan’ and over powering Hrithik’s international looks very much perfect for the movie.

The only difference between the traditional and modern version is that Amitabh Bachchan played as an Indian gang lord, while Hrithik will play as an international gangster.
