He preferred calling it high-pitched singing, but everyone else branded composer-singer-actor Himesh Reshammiya's voice as nasal singing, something that used to hurt him deeply.
"When people used to tell me that you have a nasal touch in your singing, I used to feel very bad. When you sing in high pitch, some notes do get a slight nasal touch, but one can't brand that nasal singing altogether.
"I used to think that my songs are becoming hit still people are criticising my singing. I wanted to give my singing the name of high-pitched voice, but so many people criticised me. I was hurt," Reshammiya told.
In his forthcoming film "Radio", the 36-year-old has crooned songs in two distinct voices - one in his trademark high-pitch voice and the other in a lower octave without the nasal touch.
