Pranab Mukherjee To Present Financial Budget 2009-10 Today Pranab Mukherjee |
The budget for the year 2009-10 will be presented by the government today. The budget is anticipated to expand the budget deficit as well as market borrowing requirement for supporting its growth.
Some among the topics which will be covered by the Union Finance Minister in today’s budget session include budget deficits, the target which has been sent for the borrowing by government, sales of assets for reliving the pressure which is felt by the bond markets as well as enhancing the infrastructure of India.
The finance minister has plans for increasing the investment in infrastructure from the current 6% so that the deficits can be cleared. The government, it seems, does not have any special economic reforms in this budget, but the pressure for reforms is high on them because of the victory they achieved in the elections. The government has plans for increasing the ceiling of foreign investment from 26% to about 49%.
So let us wait and watch!!!!
