It has been reported that Freida Pinto of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ fame may join the planet of apes. The star will reportedly star in 20th Century Fox’s ‘Planet of the Apes’ prequel, ‘Rise of the Apes’.
If the beauty agrees then she will portray the role of Caroline, a primatologist in the flick. The other star cast of the flick includes, James Franco while Don Cheadle is also rumoured to be on board.
‘Rise of the Apes’ is set in present day San Francisco which deals with the after effects of man's experiments with genetic engineering that lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.
The movie will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and will go on floors next month. The makers are planning to release it on June 24, 2011.
