The director turned actor Farhan Akhtar really had to learn ride bike for a sequence in his new film ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ and admits that he really felt awkward to do so at the age of thirty plus.

He adds, "It was quite uncool for me to learn biking at 30-plus. This is something that people do much earlier."

Since he was more accident-prone in his earlier age his mother didn’t allow him to ride bike and adds, "Initially I didn't bike because my mother had taken a promise from me, since she was always worried that something will happen. I was quite accident-prone. But it was a requirement in the script to ride a bike; so I learnt it," he added.

Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani are the producer of ‘Karthik Calling Karthik,’ directed by Vijay Lalwani.

 

Farhan, who had earlier acted for ‘Rock On!!’ and ‘Luck By Chance’, will be working for the first time with sizziling siren Deepika Padukone.

 

Regarding his new launch opposite Deepika, he says, "She listens a lot to what the director wants and kind of adapts herself that way. It is nice to see someone relatively young trying to keep improving."

However, admits that she looks taller than him and jokingly adds, "I wore heels and she wore flats. On a serious note, I really didn't do anything. She definitely is a tall girl, but I didn't do anything to look taller."

‘Karthik Calling Karthik’  slated to hit the theatres on Feb 26. Hope till then Farhan proves to be an expert rider.
