Emraan Hashmi has to look fat for Shanghai of Dibakar Bannerjee and he will be seen even with a paunch in the movie.

 

After playing a fit gym instructor in Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee, now he has to put on a lot of weight to suit his new character. He is working with Abhay Deol in Shanghai which is a political thriller.

 

Hashmi said, "I lost quite a bit of weight for Once Upon A Time in Mumbai and bulked up a bit for Dil Toh... and I have to grow fat for Shanghai, so my body has been going through a roller coaster ride."

 

He added, "It does make me ill and you can only push your body to a limit and I find it very difficult. But when a good role comes your way, you have to put in the effort to make it look credible on screen."

 

Shanghai would be a different type of movie for the actor who has always been seen playing similar roles and this new movie could be a challenging but, fruitful try for Emraan.
