Dimpled actress Deepika Padukone refused to lip sync the remixed version of the popular Dum Maro Dum number while filming Rohan Sippy’s next.
The dusky hottie who was excited about performing the number for Sippy’s upcoming flick Dum Maaro Dum was left shocked when she heard the explicit lyrics and bluntly said no to the versatile director. The iconic song was filmed on Zeenat Aman and it had created a bunch of controversy that time.
A source close to the actress was quoted as saying, "The lyrics were full of bold words."
Sippy tried his best to convince the actress but Dips baby was clear on her stand, eventually leaving the filmmaker with no option.
"Sippy told Deepika that every time she was expected to mouth the objectionable lyrics, her back would face the camera. Therefore she will only mouth lyrics that she is comfortable with," the source added.
Meanwhile, unaware with the issue, Pritam who has re-composed the song said, “Shooting mein kya hua mujhe nahin pata (I don’t know what happened while shooting). But yes, this song will shake you up. It`s bold beyond words. We have composed it keeping today`s very young and modern generation in mind. Big deal yaar, today`s generation loves it this way."
