American actress Daryl Hannah has decided to quit acting to spend more time with animals. The actress who has starred in movies like ‘Kill Bill’, ‘Wall Street’ insisted that she loves to spend time with her pets than on movie sets.
She said, "I have three alpacas, chickens, a few roosters... There's a lot of wildlife near me but that's great because I can see elk and owls and hawks. I'm pretty hands on (with the animals).”
The actress added, "Some of my animals are from shelters, or I hear that someone's going to put some animals down. Usually I try to give them away but the ones I can't give away are the ones I get stuck with.”
"I've been acting since I was 11 years old and it's an incredibly wonderful and beautiful creative outlet and I think it can be an inspiring thing for people's imaginations and a wonderful escape. I still love movies and I always will but, as I grow up, my priorities shift a little bit to things of a little more substance and I want to be of service as much as I can,” the actress insisted.
